Gold color. Aromas and flavors of caramel and vanilla on toasted oats, poached pear with coconut and lime zest, caramelized plantains, and wet saddle leather with a silky, bright, dryish medium body and a warming, complex, medium-long finish manifesting accents of baking spices on poached pear, caramel and cocoa nibs, bananas foster, and coconut husk and guava. The barrel characteristics harmonize and don’t over power the delicate cane flavors; this Rum is extraordinarily well executed.
