Amber color. Aromas and flavors of chocolate Swiss roll, plum pudding, pecan and black tea, and toasted Indian spices with a light curry with a round, vibrant, dry medium-to-full body and a tingling, complex, medium-long finish with accents of plum and fig sauce, banana bread, and baker’s chocolate. Complex and inviting with rich fruit notes and caramelized grain flecked with baking spices; a deliciously unique expression of Whisky that creates its own style.

Australian Whisky

Although not a huge industry, there are more than a dozen makers of Australian whisky, with most of them located on the island of Tasmania. Quality is quite high, especially for the versions aged in small French oak barrels for more than 12 years. There are various styles of Australian whiskey, both blended as well as single malt.

Australian whiskeys are generally smooth, without the peatiness or tang of Scotch whiskys. Flavor profiles range from notes of honey, forest herbs and golden raisin to cedar and chestnut. These are generally whiskies for sipping.
