Amber color. Aromas and flavors of polished oak and leather furniture, honeyed figs rolled in sugar and baking spices, pistachio and clove, and tim tam cookie with a round, crisp, dry medium-full body and a long finish that presents accents of spicy worchester and oak forward, garrigue, and kettle corn. An excellent Whisky that demonstrates world-class quality while maintaining Australian terroir.

Although not a huge industry, there are more than a dozen makers of Australian whisky, with most of them located on the island of Tasmania. Quality is quite high, especially for the versions aged in small French oak barrels for more than 12 years. There are various styles of Australian whiskey, both blended as well as single malt.

Australian whiskeys are generally smooth, without the peatiness or tang of Scotch whiskys. Flavor profiles range from notes of honey, forest herbs and golden raisin to cedar and chestnut. These are generally whiskies for sipping.
