Deep amber color. Aromas of slightly toasted rye, fresh garden and lawn compost, and marmalade with a round, bright, spritzy, dry medium body and a warming, medium-length caraway and fennel rye bread, root veggies, and oak vanilla finish. A toasty, hoppy, lighter-style Bock that drinks more like an American Marzen.

Bocks range in color from pale to deep amber and in alcohol from 6-7%. These beers are an exposition of malty sweetness that is classically associated with the character and flavor of Bavarian malt. Hop aromas are generally low, though hop bitterness can serve as a balancing factor against the malt sweetness. Bocks are a specific type of strong lager, historically associated with Germany-- specifically the town of Einbeck. Noteworthy examples of this style include: Full Sail LTD 01, Stiegl Bock and Anchor Bock.
