Light gold color. Aromas and flavors of lightly smoked banana chips, clove and orange zest, fennel, and cotton candy with a satiny, crisp, finely carbonated, dry medium body and an intricate, medium-length finish imparting overtones of caramelized banana, lemon cream, nutmeg, and blue cheese ash. Light enough body with banana flavors for a warm summer day with baking spices and richness for a cool winter’s eve; a Hefeweizen for all seasons.

Weizen hefes are pale straw to deep golden in color and range from 4-6% in alcohol. These beers are refreshing and highly carbonated with banana and spicy clove-like flavors derived from the yeast strains used in the brewing process. Hop flavors play a very insignificant role in the flavor profile. This is a top-fermenting, unflitered beer style that originated from southern Germany, particularly Bavaria, and is brewed with at least 50% wheat in the mash. Noteworthy examples of this style include: Paulaner Hefe-Weizen, Hacker-Pschorr Weisse and New Glarus Dancing Man Wheat.
