Brick red color. Aromas and flavors of fig, dried strawberries, leather and cocoa, and molasses candied walnut with a glycerous, lively, moderately sweet medium body and a hot, interesting, medium-long finish revealing notes of dried dates and chocolate covered orange and candied pecans with a suggestion of oak flavor. A very fun take on classic Port out of California; a touch lighter than its Portuguese brethren but delicious.

Wines made in this style are typically fortified with brandy or distilled grape spirits which causes fermentation to stop and also increases alcohol.
