Golden straw color. Aromas and flavors of sweet gardenia blossoms, ripe peach and nectarine, lemon and apple, honeysuckle, and bubble gum banana with a velvety, crisp, dryish medium body and a tingling, captivating, medium-long finish with touches of elderflower, jackfruit and nectarine, peach and sweet lemon, and grilled pineapple and magnolia honey. Layer upon layer of fruity and floral tones make this a wonderful option for people that enjoy highly perfumed wines.

The most famous white wines in Spain besides a Rioja Blanca and Albariño are those made from grapes such as Moscatel, Verdejo, Torrontes, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. The latter is grown in several regions and most versions are light and meant for early consumption, although there are a few oak-aged version with vanilla and baked apple flavors that can stand up to most seafood.

Examples of Verdejo - sometimes blended with Viura, the principal white variety of white Rioja, are refreshing dry whites with flavors of nectarine and white flowers that are meant to be drink young with tapas or shellfish. These wine are priced in the $10-$12 category.
