Yellow straw color. Aromas and flavors of boiled noodles and hot cheese powder, citrus, tart orchard fruit, and italian meringue with a round, crisp, dry medium body and a tingling, amusing, medium-length finish with impressions of lemon, grapefruit, and baked brie with apricot jam. A good table wine that would be right at home paired with a light lunch after hiking in the Adirondacks.

Seyval Blanc is a white French hybrid that works well in cool climates, given its delicate fruit notes and high acidity. Producers in the Finger Lakes district of New York State, Canada and even England craft notable wines from the variety.

Most versions offer simple pear and apple notes, while a few of the best display touches of honeyed nectarine and coconut cream.
