Brick red color. Aromas and flavors of red cherry, ripe raspberry, dried italian herbs and aged balsamic, and sweet pipe tobacco with a satiny, lively, bone-dry medium-to-full body and a charming, medium-long finish revealing accents of black cherry, stewed boysenberry, leather, and black tea with rose petals with drying, woody, well-integrated, medium tannins and a suggestion of oak flavor. A classically styled Chianti; bright fruit with hints of perfume and flowers.

Red wines from the seven regions of Tuscany that fall under the Chianti DOCG contain a strong backbone of Sangiovese grapes with room for the addition of Canaiolo, Trebbiano, Malvasia, and a few other lesser-known varietals.
