Medium dark amber color. Aromas and flavors of suede and blood orange, dry cocoa bean husk, dark cherry syrup and mint, and pizza seasoning with a velvety, vibrant, dry-yet-fruity medium body and an intriguing, medium-length finish with notes of dried red cherries, leather, cedar, and sweet tobacco, cocoa nibs, mint, and hazelnut, and rose water and sarsaparilla root. Sweet and sassy, with lots of expressive dried red fruit notes that almost make this more enjoyable on its own, but don’t let the Bourbon get off that easy, it would still be wonderful in a Manhattan.

Wine Specialty is a category for higher alcohol wine based on aperitifs with a variety of flavorings that are sold in the spirits channel, but are not traditional fortified wines. This includes fruit aperitifs from Poland at 36 proof made from cherry and peach; Pineau des Charentes, a French aperitif made from wine grapes and Cognac eau-de-vie, and spiced dessert wine, made from herbs steeped in sweet wine. These specialty wines can have multiple purposes, be it drinking on their own, use in cocktails or even in cooking.
