About White IPA

About White IPA
White IPAs are clear or hazy, golden-colored beers that range from 4.5-6% in alcohol. These brews are a hybrid of the hop-forward American IPA and traditional Belgian wit styles. The flavors and aromas of these beers feature both the spice profile of Belgian wits and the citrusy and/or resinous aromatic hop profile of American IPAs, with medium-to-high hop bitterness. They are usually available only in summer months, but are steadily becoming year-round offerings as this style grows in popularity. Noteworthy examples of this style include: Deschutes Chainbreaker White IPA, Samuel Adams Whitewater IPA and Flying Dog Raging Bitch Belgian Style IPA.
